CLASSIC BUFFALO WINGS
This one’s a common favorite that might change the way you look at fried food forever.
Rather than ditching the oil, we’re switching it! That’s right, there’s a healthy way to fry food! This way you can enjoy the same flavors as before without the regret that comes with it!
INGREDIENTS
8 Chicken Wings
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Paprika
Garlic Powder
Parsley
Pepper
Franks Red Hot Original or Buffalo Sauce
DIRECTIONS
1. Place wings in bowl, add 1 tbsp of olive oil and toss
2. Season wings beginning with paprika, coating the chicken until skin is barely visible. This adds a crust in place of flour. Continue to season with parsley and pepper as desired.
3. Heat saucepan on high and add olive oil – enough to coat the bottom of the pan about ¼ inch. It should take about a minute or two to warm up.
4. Place wings in pan and sear for 30 seconds to 1 minute on each side.
5. Reduce heat to med-low for the remainder of cooking.
6. Cook wings for 6-8 more minutes, constantly turning the wings every 1-2 minutes.
7. Remove wings from pan, place on paper towel to remove excess oil.
8. Place wings in bowl and toss with your desired buffalo sauce.
9. And bam! A miracle happened, you have great FRIED wings that you can eat while losing weight!
* Olive oil has a lower smoking point than vegetable oil. If the oil itself begins to smoke before any food is placed in it, please do not cook with it and replace with a new batch of oil, as it is unsafe to cook when olive oil reaches smoking point.
